 Today my chemistry teacher taught us some concepts related to catalyst, a myth about if catalyst join the reaction, the answer is yes, what's more, different catalyst can lead to different product in the same chemistry reaction. The priciple of catalyst is providing another route for the reaction process, the route need less energy to make the product, so more molecular can join the reaction, the more the molecular have joined, the more frequently they have collide to each other, so the rate of reaction ascent.

Because of the lower energy requirement, more molecules can participate in the reaction.
The more molecules that are involved, the more frequently they collide with each other, which increases the reaction rate.
